spring has sprung

life is good. it's been warm, practically hot, and the outdoors have been calling our name. i don't know what it is about kids and the yard, but they are so happy there. we've been spending hours just hanging out in the grass, running around, shooting basketball, stomping the daffodils, smelling the camellias, running around in the street and more. spring also means the near-end of busy season for accountants so we've been able to see Rob much more, and Anders is in hog heaven. Rob is cool (according to Anders)! we've already discussed how when Anders gets in trouble as a teenager, he'll be going to Rob first and then seeking advice on how to tell his mom. Rob says he'll begin by encouraging Anders to buy me a piece of cake from Brick Street Cafe. they know me too well. i'm afraid it will work. i'll be in a state of sugared-up bliss by the time he breaks the bad news and it won't matter.

when Rob arrived the other day, Anders was shirtless but went sprinting out to hug him nonetheless. i'm not sure what Rob was trying to tell me or A in this picture but it cracks me up.

Snow in April? Nope. We had the craziest thunderstorm the other night and it HAILED. Golf-ball sized hail. For five whole minutes. It was loud and kinda scary, but cool too.

This is the view I have of A-man most mornings. He's been swinging in his swing on the back porch for 20 minutes at a time, with the penguin stuffed in behind him.

This was one of our fabulous recent visitors - Isabella! Isabella is precious. She is Blanca's granddaughter and she came during her spring break to meet Halle. She even had bought her a little doll and drawn a picture for both Anders and Halle.
