Two weeks already

Wow, it has been a busy two weeks and two days since Halle's arrival, but it has been joyous and wonderful, with doses of anxiety, trepidation and sleep deprivation mixed in. Halle is growing and napping and living the good life of a baby. Anders spends most of his time ignoring her presence but will occasionally act like he likes her, which is very sweet when it happens. Thanks to incredible love and support from the four grandparents, we have done more than survive. Without them, though, I don't know how we would have made it. So many fun photos have been taken that I have only included a few below. Here is one of my all-time favorites. Anders was headed next door to play with Lucy one afternoon. When we told him he was going, he ran to get his coat and hat and then ran to the door. He let Pops bundle him up and then held his hand as they walked next door.

A rare family photo -- we're all in the same place at once for about 10 seconds!
Mama C just left today after being here the whole time, but she'll be back! It was hard to see her pull away. She's our mega crutch and we aren't sure how to do it without her. She cooks, holds babies, entertains Anders, plays a lot!, cleans, provides the stand up comedy, and much more. She is a jack of all trades. Anders especially loves the songs she makes up for the bathtub and Halle thinks she is the best snuggler.
Two sleepers!
A pic from our snow day
This warm red sweater was called upon before several of Halle's temperature checks. We had to get her up to 98 before the thermometer came around so we put Mama C on "warming duty."
More playing in the snow
Here is Dad giving Halle one of her syringe feedings. We have now graduated to a bottle, thankfully. As Mama C says, Halle is a switch hitter - she nurses, she takes a bottle.
Little Miss
Here we are leaving the hospital (Finally!). Starbucks and prayers got me through the 8-day stay. And the wonderful midwestern support of Erik.
Wrestling in the living room
We received beautiful flowers from Grandma and Grandpa Ching and a super cool fruit basket bouquet from Cinnamon, Jason and Hazel.

Chick-Fil-A served as therapy one night when I left the hospital to come visit Anders. He loved his Appa-ju.
A few days ago I could not have posted this but now that Halle is doing so well, I will. Here she is under the blue phototherapy lights in goggles. This was one of the hardest parts of the hospital - not being able to hold her and watching her move and shimmy under the lights, trying to take off the darn glasses. Thankfully it was only for one day. Now that she is home and chilling out, this seems like a distant memory.
Anders loves his pink bike. His dad is less in love with it.
Pops and Anders catching some Barney together.
Anders got his first haircut from Mama C. No more Scrooge McDuck!
Here she is! She's calm, she's mellow, she likes to sleep. She likes milk. She doesn't cry too often. Yay!

Oh Cat! What wonderful pictures. That sweet pic of Halle under the warming lights is so tough to see. Thank goodness that seems so long ago now! I'm glad to hear she's eating well and doesn't cry too much; it's also good news that your mom is returning soon. Love from VA!
