an extended visit

So, my Dad went to Singapore for a week and we talked Mama C into coming down for the weekend..... but we had too much fun, playing playing playing, and she didn't end up leaving for home until a week later! Unfortunately, we have little to no photographic evidence of her visit. Apparently we were too busy having fun to remember to take out the camera. But, we feel so lucky that she was able to come for this extended visit. Mothers and grandmothers are the best, as Anders has already learned. With Mama C comes much love and affection, and no lack of attention. They spent a lot of time roaming the yard, playing musical instruments indoors, and playing inside her highlander. He loved playing in the big trunk space and turning the overhead light on and off. In fact, three nights in a row, we discovered her car light on late at night.

Unfortunately Anders also developed his first ear infection - a double ear infection, so we took him to the doc and were glad we could tag team with this rambunctious, I never sit down while awake, little fellow. Here he is "driving" the Highlander.

. Having a 15-month old is such fun. We can see changes in him every day. He says apple juice constantly, "up" when he wants to stand up, "Da Da" whenever we walk by a picture of Erik, and he said "bird" the other day. He also knows a lot of what we're talking about and the funniest, and perhaps most frightening, new trick is that he has learned to vigorously shake his head no. So much for me phrasing things in the form of a question. "Do you want to go to bed?" Head shake no. "Do you want to eat?" Head shake no. "Do you want to go home?" No. You get the picture.

Anders has also entered a mega Rob phase. He wants Rob to hold him all the time. Rob has always been a great "play-er" in the build with legos, toss the ball, positive connotation of that word. And, Anders has taken note. He wants Rob's attention whenever he's here and brings Rob the toys he thinks he'll like the most. They build and destroy Jenga towers and turn light switches on and off. It's pretty sweet, I must say.
